FAQ’s
Can I bring snacks?
Yes!
Do I need to bring anything?
Please bring a hat, drink bottle, sunscreen, and snack. If you have your own art smock, please bring that too, but no need to go and buy one. I have smocks available, but a limited amount if it’s busy. Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty!
Can I just show up and pay when I get there?
If you can’t quite commit, usually you can just show up and pay on arrival. HOWEVER, sometimes a certain class is booked out and this isn’t possible. Please check my Instagram or Facebook account in the morning, I always try to post when there are drop-in’s available.
FYI special events such as Easter, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Halloween and Christmas always sell out in advance. So it’s best to always book these ones.
My kid is a bit of a clean freak, how will this work?
This is a perfect experiment for them! Often kids who like to be clean at home, are fine to be covered in paint elsewhere, so it can be good expose them to mess. If it doesn’t go as planned, we can clean their hands, or they can opt for crayons and pencils instead.
My kid doesn’t really like art, will they be ok?
Some kids don’t like drawing, and that’s ok. But most kids like painting! And they like mess! And there are also other things like stamps and stickers. If your kid doesn’t seem to like art, you can still attend. Afterall, these classes are all about teaching kids to love art.
Do I need to stay?
Yes, you need to stay with your child. They will prefer it!
I’m not creative myself, will I be ok?
It’s perfectly fine! You don’t actually need to do anything, just come along and sit next to your child. You can encourage them, you can help them, but also, if you don’t want to, you can just sit! You’ve come to the right place, because I’ll be creative for you.
Can I sign up for a full term?
I booked ages ago but I can’t come anymore. What happens?
As long as you let me know at least 24 hours before your session, you can swap your ticket for another date.
I booked in an outdoor session, what happens if it’s raining or hot?
We’re big fans of outside time, and so this will depend. But generally speaking, if it’s rainy or too hot, we won’t be outside. We’ll be inside where it’s nice and dry. Depends on what you have booked as to what happens, but I will definitely be in touch to let you know.
Can I bring a friend?
If there’s room in the class you can absolutely bring a friend! Please tell them to book online if possible, or if they would like to simply drop-in, they can (as long as there is room). Generally I post on social media if there are spots available for drop-ins, or if a class is a sell out.
I don’t know anyone, is that ok?
Most people coming to these classes are coming alone, so don’t worry at all about that.
Are grandparents allowed?
Of course!
